The computational complexity and storage requirements of a matrix-vector multiplication arising in the FEM-BI analysis of 2D coated metallic structures have been reduced from O(fl2) to O(N, log2 N,) by employing a MLMDA to perform fast multiplication of the dense part of the coefficient matrix with

โฆ Synopsis
Necessary and sufficient conditions for the decoupting of singular systems using P-D (proportional derivative) feedback are determined. Given a system which satisfies these conditions, the class of all feedback matrices which decouple the system is characterized. This class is used to determine the number of closed loop pole zeros which can be specified for the decoupled system and to develop a synthesis technique for the realization of desired closed loop pole zero configurations.

Current methods for broadband heteronuclear decoupling are reviewed from a historical perspective. The principal concern is that decoupling should be effective over a wide range of chemical shifts without undue radiofrequency heating of the sample, particularly when human patients are involved. Cont
