✦ Synopsis

Abstract

4,5‐Dimethylen‐1,3‐dioxolan‐2‐on (2) läßt sich aus den diastereomeren 4,5‐Dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolan‐2‐onen (4) in einer dreistufigen Synthese herstellen. Der Fe(CO)~3~‐Komplex 7 und die freie Verbindung 2 sind beständig, jedoch im Vergleich zu strukturanalogen Verbindungen reaktiver. 7 ist empfindlich gegen Luftsauerstoff; 2 polymerisiert oberhalb des Schmelzpunktes (48°C) spontan. Die dienophile Reaktivität von 2 ist sehr gering.
