## Abstract 1.4‐Dihydro‐benzoesäure entsteht durch Birch‐Reduktion der Benzoesäure. Sie ist autoxydabel und lagert sich mit Kalilauge in 3.4‐Dihydro‐benzoesäure um. Die Verhältnisse bei der Bromierung werden beschrieben.
