## Abstract The cyclopropenoid (Malvalic acid) fatty acid content of oils from ten varieties of cotton seeds has been determined range (0.7 to 1.3). Iodine values varied from 32.9 to 114.0. The fatty acid composition was in the following range: Myristic, 0.9β3.0; palmitic, 18.3β34.1; stearic, 2.2β4

The seed oil of Kydia culycino is found to contain the following acids (Wto/o): Lauric 3.7, myristic 6.0, palmitic 4.9, stearic 11.4, arachidic 2.8, behenic 2.5, oleic 60.6, linoleic 5.3, and cyclopropenoid fatty acid content 2.9. \* These figures indicate the number of carbon atoms and the number
The seeds of 28 species from 'cerrado', a typical savanna ecosystem of Brazil, were analysed for total lipid contents and fatty acid distribution. The seeds of 10 species presented contents above 150 g kg-', the highest yield reaching 335 g kg-'. Distribution of fatty acids based on polyunsaturated
From our data it could be summarized that the low silica gellecithin extract ratio (2:l) allows to obtaine rapeseed lecithin with above 80 % content of phosphatidylcholine. The best results (yield 44 %, 82 % PC) for temperature 60Β°C were observed. The method presented in this report could be useful

## Abstract Evidence is provided that sterculic and malvalic acids occur together in seed oils of Sida grewioides and Hibiscus caesius. Sida grewioides oil contains 1.3% sterculic and 2.1 % malvalic acids; Hibiscus caesius oil contains 1.0 % sterculic and 5.7 % malvalic acids. The cyclopropenoid ac
