✦ Synopsis

From our data it could be summarized that the low silica gellecithin extract ratio (2:l) allows to obtaine rapeseed lecithin with above 80 % content of phosphatidylcholine. The best results (yield 44 %, 82 % PC) for temperature 60Β°C were observed. The method presented in this report could be useful for a rapid and simply way for high purity rapeseed lecithin obtaining in a relatively large scale with manifold uses of silica gel. Table 2 Characteristic of combined rapeseed lecithin fractions obtained in various temperatures eluted from the silica gel with ethanol 5-10 60 3-10 44 . 82 a) the yields were evaluated for starting weight of rapeseed lecithin extract applied to the column

The seeds of 28 species from 'cerrado', a typical savanna ecosystem of Brazil, were analysed for total lipid contents and fatty acid distribution. The seeds of 10 species presented contents above 150 g kg-', the highest yield reaching 335 g kg-'. Distribution of fatty acids based on polyunsaturated
