The didehydrooxepane system 4a (326 mg, 1.0 mmol) in anhydrous THF ( 5 mL) was treated under argon with nBuaNF (1.0 M solution in THF, 1.2 mL, 1.2 mmol) at ambient temperature and then stirred at 45°C for 8 h.
