## Abstract The centrosymmetric structure of bis(triphenyltin) oxalate contains essentially fourβcoordinated tin and monodentate carboxylate moieties despite a MΓΆssbauer quadrupole splitting of 2.8 mm s^β1^ and a ^119^Sn NMR chemical shift of β503 ppm. Copyright Β© 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The loosely associated centrosymmetric structure of [Bi(S 2 CNC 4 H 8 ) 2 (NO 3 )] 2 features chelating dithiocarbamate and nitrate ligands, as well as weak intermolecular Bi-S interactions, so that a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal S 5 O 2 coordination geometry results.

The molecular structure of [Zn(O 2 CC 6 H 4 NO 2 -p) 2 (pyridine) 2 ] exhibits a distorted N 2 O 2 tetrahedral geometry around the zinc atom owing to the presence of monodentate p-nitrobenzoate ligands; the molecule has twofold symmetry.
