A new Cd(II) complex of Cd(H 3 biim) 2 (NCS) 2 Cl 2 [H 3 biim๏ผ2-(2-1H-imidazolyl)-1H-imidazolium] was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and X-ray single crystal diffraction. In the X-ray crystallography structure, the cadmium(II) ion is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of t
zwitterions link Cd 2+ cations into a network of [Cd(C 7 H 7 N 2 O 4 ) 2 ] n sheets. The carboxylate arms of the ligand chelate to the metal, which shows square-antiprismatic coordination. The Cd 2+ ion occupies a special position 2 site symmetry. The crystals were found to be twinned. metal-organic
