β¦ Synopsis
Several works have appeared in recent years on the structure of (poly)3MB1 but showing remarkable divergence concerning the crystal lattice of this polymer. Particularly, in a paper by Huguet the structure is interpreted on the basis of a tetragonal lattice, which is here shown to be unacceptable.
The main features of the mode of packing of the macromolecules may be simply explained on the basis of a monoclinic unit cell with a = 9"55 ~; b = 17"08 A; c = 6"84 ~; "/ = 116Β°30'; c axis unique.

## Abstract **Summary:** A comparison between the crystal structure of isotactic __cis__β1,4βpoly(1,3βpentadiene) previously predicted by molecular mechanics calculations and that successively determined by other authors by experimental data is reported. The agreement between the two structures is
A study has been carried out of the physical and mechanical properties and crystallization behavior of poly-&methyl-1-butene (poly-3-MB). The melt behavior of poly-3-MB waa examined by means of the depolarised light intensity (DLI) technique. These birefringence studies indicated the onset of motion
