โฆ Synopsis
Differential cross sectiona for the scattering of N3 (velocity selected beam) by Ar (nozzle beam) were measured at different kinetic energies in the range E = 7.73 -15.6 x lo-14 erg. r?om the rainbow scattering the well depths = 1.63 -L 0.15 x lo-14 erg has been deduced for an assumed L.-J. (I2.6) potegti!al. The scattering at Iow angles exhibited classical behaviour corresponding to a Voc r-6 long-range potential. * The relation 8r = 6max + 0.77 (@ma%-bin) would yield E_= 1.44 x lo-14 erg, in agreement with ref. [3].
