✦ Synopsis
Initial magnetization curves of Metglas 2605 SC ferromagnetic amorphous ribbons were obtained as a function of temperature and elapsed time of each temperature in the temperature range 373-473 K and for times up to 60 min. For each temperature the critical magnetic field obtained from these magnetization curves showed an increase as a function of time, eventually reaching a stable value. The initial permeability showed a decrease with similar characteristics. These results are interpreted on the basis of structural relaxation of the amorphous ribbons.
