Attempts for degossypolization of the solvent extracted Egyptian cottonseed meal (CSM) and evaluation of its nutritional value as a possible protein supplement for human feeding were undertaken. Three methods were applied for degossypolization : Steaming, addition of iron(l1)-sulphate dihydrate, and
