โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Acute mesenteric ischemia is a serious condition associated with high mortality. Multislice CT and magnetic resonance angiography have proved accurate in diagnosing this pathology, which requires a prompt diagnosis to start appropriate therapy. We report the case of an 87โyearโold woman with acute mesenteric ischemia, in whom contrastโenhanced sonography visualized the occluded superior mesenteric artery and the infarcted portion of the intestine. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract We report a case of a gastric wall abscess in a 50โyearโold man who presented with epigastralgia and fever. Gastroscopy revealed a subepithelial lesion on the posterior wall of the gastric body into the antrum. A followโup abdominal CT scan showed cystic lesions around the stomach. Endo
## Abstract Sacrococcygeal teratomas have been diagnosed prenatally on sonograms as masses of cystic, solid, or mixed echogenicity from the sacral area and protruding through the perineum or buttocks. However, a cystic sacrococcygeal teratoma may be misdiagnosed as an anterior sacral meningomyeloce
## Objective: The pathophysiology and symptomatology of the superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMA syndrome) is discussed. Method: A review of much of the available literature concerning the SMA syndrome and the associated condition acute gastric dilatation is offered. Results: Two new cases of
We report on the flow cytometric identification of concomitant acute myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia in cytology specimens submitted with minimal clinical information. A 64-year-old man presented with fever and progressive dyspnea on exertion. Chest X-ray and computed tomography sc
