✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The anti‐p‐azophenylarsonate antibodies of A/J mice express a major intrastrain cross‐reactive idiotype (CRI~A~). Using a sensitive radioimmunoassay we were unable to detect significant quantities of molecules bearing CRI~A~ in nonimmune A/J sera. The upper limit is 140 ng/ml. Possible reasons for variability of such data in the published literature are discussed.

## Abstract Previous investigations have demonstrated the feasibility of suppressing the production of an idiotype, associated with anti‐p‐azophenylarsonate antibodies in A/J mice, by pretreatment of adult mice with anti‐idiotypic antiserum. The present study indicates that immunological memory, wi

## Abstract A population of Fab fragments was identified in the papain‐solubilized fraction of membranes of a rat chemically‐induced sarcoma, KMT 17. The Fab fragments were partially purified by gel filtration and column electrophoresis. A rabbit antiserum against the partially purified Fab fragmen
