Chiroplasmas and chiroferrites were originally theoretically conceptualized as media which combine the properties of isotropic chiral media with those of dielectricrmagnetic gyrotropic media. We clarify here a problem concerning the correct characterization of such media through their frequency-doma

Abstract
Using a groupβtheoretical approach, constitutive tensors for a new material composed of omega particles embedded in a ferrite are calculated and discussed. The analysis of the tensors is based on the decomposition of them into simplier forms. A comparison of these tensors with the known ones for chiroferrites is made. The constitutive tensors for some modifications of the chiroβ and omegaferrites are calculated as well.βΒ© 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 29: 201β205, 2001.

## Conclusions The suitability of radial microstrip and slot-line stubs for the realization of broadband microstrip-to-slot-line transitions has been demonstrated. A simple procedure has been utilized to estimate the length of the slot-line radial stub for which an analytic model is still lacking.
Using the group-theoretical approach, constituti¨e tensors for the one-sided Kamenetskii's media are obtained. For the two-sided media, the magnetic groups of symmetry are defined.
In this paper some results of the tensor function theory are applied to the formulation of constitutive equations of isotropic and anisotropic materials in the secondary and tertiary creep stage. The creep process, in its tertiary phase, is characterized by a damage tensor. Because of its microscopi
