โฆ Synopsis
CAD conference activities in Scandinavia is high for the moment. Below, three of these most recent conferences will shortly be reported. NORCAD-83, Oslo, 22-23 February 1983 This conference was arranged by "Den Norske Dataforening" (The Norwegian Data Society). Three sessions run in parallel: Mechanical Engineering, Building and Electronics. More than 200 people attended the conference and even more people visited the adherent exhibition. The exhibition was excellent. Many workstations where demonstrated, some utilizing conventional communication interfaces, some utilizing the concept of LAN (Local Area Network) and distributed computing power. In the Electronic session, papers where presented by M. Bayegan (Elektrisk Bureau), E. Carlson (Central Inst. for Industrial Research), B. Magnhagen (Digsim) and P. Daoidsen (Eldak).
A summary of the messages from the speakers are: -CAD is necessary when dealing with modem, complex electronics.
