✦ Synopsis


The mobilities of Na+, Cl-and OH-ions and water in Nation 120 membrane have been discussed. According to the frictional formalism they have been expressed in terms of friction coefficients describing single interactions between components of the system. The signiticant influence of the movement of water on mobilities of Nat and Cl-ions has been quantitatively shown. Due to a different transport mechanism of OH-ions their mobility is influenced to a smaller degree than other ions.
