Compounds K 2 W n O 3n+1 (n = 2, 3, 4) were synthesized using a pyrometallurgical technique. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and found to be single-phase compounds. The enthalpy increments T 273.15 K H o m of each compound were measured by a drop method using a high-tem

โฆ Synopsis
HTS conductors are attractive high current leads for superconducting magnets due their low heat conductivity. This is of particular importance in low power cooling systems where parasitic heat input has to be kept at a minimum. We therefore tested the conduction heat leak of commercial BSCCO tapes between 55 K and temperatures in the liquid helium range. The measurements were performed using a two-stage pulse tube cooler; the tapes mounted between the first and second stage. The results demonstrate that such tapes can be used advantageously in a superconducting magnet system, in which the magnet is cooled by a low power cryocooler.

The molar excess heat capacity C E p,m of (1 -x)H 2 O + xHOCH 2 CH 2 OH has been measured in the temperature range from 273.15 K to 373.15 K at 5 K intervals. The C E p,m values are negative and positive at all compositions between temperatures of (273.15, 283.15, 333.15 and 373.15) K, respectively.
A new differential flow heat capacity calorimeter was constructed. It is designed to operate at temperatures up to 700 K and pressures up to 35 MPa and its primary use is for determining the massic heat capacities at constant pressure of dilute aqueous solutions. The instrument works in the so-calle
