✦ Synopsis

A gas-solid reaction, irreversible and of any order with respect to the gaseous reactant is carried out, using the gas-chromatographic technique in its pulsed version. A proper selection of the experimental conditions allows the discription of the output pulse by a simplified mathematical model. The validity of the model for determining the kinetic constants has been tested with respect to the reaction VIOl + to, + Vz05.
