✦ Synopsis
The stirriug effect in the BZ reaction with oxalic acid in a closed batch reactor was simulated in good agreement with experiments. Oscillations, lowering of the number of oscillations and the absence of oscillations under strong stirring were all reproduced using a simple qualitative consideration of the influence of concentration fluctuations on the rates of fast reactions.

## Abstract A Monte Carlo algorithm, capable of simulating numerically the time and space dependence of chemical concentrations in a reacting system, is presented. This method is used to study the phenomenon of trigger waves in the Oregonator model of the Belousov–Zhabotinskii reaction, including t
