✦ Synopsis

The underlying ideas of a general purpose applicaion software to reveal the dynamic performance of a bridgetrack-vehicle system have been discussed. d synthesis of the conceots of matrix methods of structural analysis and component-element method of vehicle dynamics have-been done in a manner to lead to automatic generation of mathematical model and its solution. B case example of parametric effects has been addressed. Kevwcrdg Vibrations; computer-aided appreciation; abatement; automatic generation; coupling ratio'.

Dynamic behaviour is essential in the analysis of railway bridges and trains namely on high speed tracks. The action of railway traffic on bridges is performed by two different methodologies: in the first the train is considered as a set of moving masses, being the effects of the moving forces and m

## Abstract Vehicle, track and bridge are considered as an entire system in this paper. Two types of vertical vehicle model are described. One is a one foot mass–spring–damper system having two‐degree‐of‐freedom, and the other is four‐wheelset mass–spring–damper system with two‐layer suspension sys

A new vehicle model and the partial bridge model were used to study the dynamic interaction between an open deck steel truss bridge and a moving freight train. The responses in terms of dynamic stresses in certain critical members in the bridge were generated to predict their fatigue lives by using
