Of seven psychopharmacologic drugs screened by live assay procedures, only meprobamate and phenaglycodol exhibited significant anticonvulsant activity. Chlorpromazine, promazine, reserpine, and hydroxyzine lowered the threshold for minimal seizures variously induced, whereas t d u p r o m a z i n e
