✦ Synopsis
Water distilled essential oils from six samples of Sideritis condensata Boiss. et Heldr., an endemic species in Turkey, were examined by GC and GC-MS. One-hundred-and-ninety-two components were characterized with P-caryophyllene (9.1-18.8%). germacrene-D (4.7% to 13.7%) and hexadecanoic acid (5.6% to 14.9%) as the major constituents.

The water-distilled essential oil from dried herbal parts of Glaucosciadium cordifolium was analysed by GC±MS. One hundred and seven components, representing 97.7% of the oil, were characterized. The major components were limonene (39.7%), a-pinene (12.3%) and b-pinene (10.3%).
The composition of the essential oils isolated from the aerial parts of Teucrium heterophyllum L'HCr. collected during the flowering period and the vegetative phase of the plant, was analysed by GC and GC-MS. Both oils, which were obtained in a yield lower than 0.05% (vlw), were dominated by sesquit
AytacË & BasË er are endemic species in Turkey. Water-distilled essential oils from the ¯owering spike of these plants were analysed by GC±MS. b-Pinene (35%), 1,8-cineole (15%) and a-pinene (15%) were the main components in the oil of S. vuralii, while b-caryophyllene (8%) and caryophyllene oxide (7
The composition of the essential oil of Neperu nuda L. ssp. ulbipora (Boiss.) Gams (Lamiaceae) was analysed by means of capillary GC and GC-MS. The main components, accounting for 75.1% of the oil, were 4aa,7a,7aanepetalactone (37.5%) and 4aa,7~,7afhepetalactone (37.6%). The sesquiterpene fraction a
The composition of the essential oils of Nepeta ispahanica Boiss. and N. binaludensis Jamzad was investigated by means of GC, GC±MS and 1 H-NMR spectra of the main compounds. 1,8-Cineole was the most abundant component in both oils: Nepeta ispahanica (66%) and N. binaludensis (42%). However, nepetal
