BACKGROUND. Radical trachelectomy is a surgical procedure intended to preserve fertility in patients with early-stage cervical carcinoma in which the cervix is amputated in continuity with the parametrium and upper vagina, thereby sparing the uterus and adnexa. Follow-up is performed with periodic c
