✦ Synopsis

X-ray dlflractlon data from n CI,(SO~)~ solution were exammed. A peak at 3.25 A m the corrclatlon function rcvcals fhc formauon of mner chromium-sulphatc campleues. Least-squares refinements of the 1(s) curve are consistent with a structural unit tn whxh the 0-O-S angle IS 136'. Each sulphate ion mteracts with appro\imatcly eght water molecules.

## Abstract The Raman spectra of the __v__~1~(SO) band in aqueous solutions of Li~2~SO~4~, Na~2~SO~4~ and K~2~SO~4~ as a function of concentration at room temperature and for fixed concentrations in the temperature range 5β€”85Β°C were studied. It was found that the molar scattering coefficient for SO

EPR studies of Gd3+ doped in single crystals of ~d\*(S04)3.(N~ld)zS04,8Had (hereafter referred to as NASO) at room (RT) and liquid nitiogen (LNT) temperatures exhibit that (1) the metal aqua complex has 3 tetragonal symmetry with abnorrnalIy low magnitudes of crysWine field parame!ers at RT and (2)
