โœฆ Synopsis


The He I and He II photoelectron spectra of phosphoryl chloride, POCI a, have been measured. Because of :he relative intensity loss for He !! radiation experienced by ion states formed by ionization of localized C1 non-bonding e! ectrons, the two spectra show considerable differences. By combining NEVE molecular orbital compositions with theoretical atomic cross-section data, the correlation of calculated and observed intensity variations confirm the assignment of th~ POC I~ ion states.
