## A B S T R A C T To assess the safety of disposal of radioactive waste material in concrete, curing conditions and time of leaching radionuclides 60Co and 137Cs have been studied. Leaching tests in concrete were carried out in accordance with a method recommended by IAEA.(1)
The leaching rate of cobalt-60 and cesium-137 in cement has been studied. The solidification matrix was a standard Portland cement mixed with 300-360 (kg/m 3) spent ion exchange resins, with or without 2-5% of bentonite clay. The leaching rates from the cement marix were measured as Co-60: (4, 2-6,
