Abstract
A novel transversal bandpass filter is proposed in this letter. Different from conventional two‐order planar transversal filter, the proposed filter is a three‐order planar transversal filter by incorporating microstrip dual‐mode open‐loop resonator and slot line resonator. Furthermore, by introducing source‐load capacitive coupling, three transmission zeros are created to improve the selectivity of the passband and reject the unwanted signal above the passband. The measured result agrees well with the simulation. The size of the proposed filter is less than 0.15λ~g~ × 0.2λ~g~, where λ~g~ is the guided wavelength on the substrate. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, a dual‐band bandpass filter is designed by using microstrip stub‐loaded two‐mode resonators. Because the resonant frequencies of the odd‐mode and even‐mode of the stub‐loaded resonator can be varied individually, the midband frequencies of the dual‐bands of filter can b
