โœฆ Synopsis

A new microstrip stepped-impedance hairpin resonator (SIR) low-pass filter (LPF) using aperture is proposed. This filter has the advantages of compact size and easy fabrication. Also, it provides a very sharp cutoff-frequency response with low insertion loss of 0.13 dB and wide-stopband characteristic. The filter is useful for many microwave-system applications.

## Abstract Microstrip bandpass filters are widely used in a variety of microwave subsystems to select a desired band of frequencies. However, common filter topologies with uniform impedance resonators exhibit poor stopโ€band performance. This is due to the occurrence of harmonic passbands at multip

In this paper, a new coupled-line bandpass filter with a stepped impedance hairpin (SIH) resonator is proposed. The design formulas are derived based on coupled-line filter theory and the equivalent-circuit network. This filter not only achieves better selectivity, but also suppresses the 2 nd -harm

A four-pole elliptic function bandpass filter is designed using miniaturized microstrip interdigital hairpin resonator and stepimpedance hairpin resonator. Miniaturization hairpin resonators are realized by using interdigital structure and step-impedance structure having parallel coupled lines. The
