β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
By using a pair of shorting pins, the dualβfrequency operation of a singleβfeed rhombic microstrip antenna with a pair of slits is presented. This shorted dualβfrequency microstrip antenna can result in a much reduced antenna size, and provide a tunable frequency ratio of βΌ1.26β2.33 for the two operating frequencies by varying the inset slit length. Simulated results with the use of the software also have been conducted to study the characteristics of these antennas. Details of the proposed designs are described and discussed. Dual-frequency operation of a single-feed circular microstrip antenna with a pair of arc-shaped slots is demonstrated. Typical designs of the proposed antenna with the frequency ratio of the two operating frequencies ranging from 1.38 to 1.58 are implemented and studied. The frequency ratio can easi
to efficiently adjust the input impedance, radiation pattern, and gain of conical antennas.
By embedding a pair of comb-shaped slots close to the nonradiating edges of a rectangular microstrip antenna, a no¨el dualfrequency operation of microstrip antennas using a single probe feed is proposed and experimentally studied. The two operating frequencies ha¨e the same polarization planes and s
## Abstract This paper investigates the characteristics of the modified meanderβlineβtype patch antenna for the 5βGHz band. Its design was based on a modified meander line width and shorting pin with coaxial feeding. Its maximum measured impedance bandwidth (β10 dB and below) reaches approximately
