✦ Synopsis
Abstract
This letter proposes a novel compact dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) using the meandering open‐loop resonators (MOLRs) and with enhanced feed coupling structures (EFCS). It is shown that the designed dual band BPF has a small area in comparison of previous works. The high selectivity of the designed BPF can be obtained due to the appearance of transmission zeros in two passband edges by using the EFCS in the proposed BPF. The full‐wave simulator IE3D is used to design the MOLRs and to calculate the coupling coefficients of the basic coupling structures. Good agreement with response of electromagnetic simulation and measurement is compared. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
