β¦ Synopsis
He3-He 4 dilution refrigerator has been constructed which circulates He 3 by using two alternately operating adsorption pumps which are in the same cryostat as the dilution refrigerator. The scheme described here organised the low temperature circulation cycle such that the construction and cryostat communications were essentially simplified, the dimensions of the arrangement were decreased which resulted in a circulation velocity of 10 -4 mole s -1, which was sufficient to obtain a temperature in the order of 10 mK.

torque on the tight contacts improved the contact resistances from values between 5 and I0 /~ to values between 1 and 2/zQ. 6 Tests with variable forces on the contacts were also carried out. The effect of the force was not reversible and the results for a particular force depended on whether the le
This paper deals with a special Pomeranchuk cooling device which is used in combination with a He4-cycling He3-He 4 dilution refrigerator at high pressures. The lowest temperature obtained was 1. 1 mK.
A discussion is presented on the problem of choosing the lengths and the diameters of the various tubes in a He 3-He a dilution refrigeration system, which are directly connected to the mixing chamber(s). The treatment is based on recently obtained explicit solutions of the differential equations de
