In a recent publication, Krossing, Scherer, and co‐workers reported interesting experimental results for homoleptic Ag^I^ acetylene complexes. In this Correspondence the interpretation of the X‐ray analysis and the claim of “pseudo‐gas‐phase conditions” in the solid state are questioned.
