Abstract
A simple scaling argument is shown to give the correction to the interfacial tension of two infiniteโmolecularโweight immiscible homopolymers arising from the translational entropy of finiteโsized chains. It is suggested that the qualitative nature of the FloryโHuggins model, as shown by Binder and coworkers, precludes meaningful detailed comparison of experimental data with current theoretical expressions for the interfacial tension.
