✦ Synopsis

The v function has been defmed for the purpose of determining the potential doubling time (Tp,3 from bivariate flow cytometric data based on pulse labeling of the S-phase cells by bromodeoxyuridine (BrdUrd) or other related substances (White et a l . : Cytometry 11514-317,1990). One of the m e d i a t e applications of that method is the derivation of the S-phase duration by using relative movement (RM) analysis (Begg et al.: Cytometry 6:620-626, 1985).

With the v function the potential doubling time Tpf can be derived if exponential growth with stable age distribution and constant phase durations can be

The availability of monoclonal antibodies against bromodeoxyuridine (BrdUrd) has paved the way for monitoring the progression of cell cohorts which have incorporated BrdUrd in the DNA. Technically speaking, the kinetics of this progression can be studied by bivariate flow cytometry whereby DNA content and BrdUrd incorporation are measured simultaneously (2).

## Abstract An integral transform with a kernel generalizing the Bessel function of the first kind is investigated in weighted __L~p~__–spaces. Mapping properties, such as the boundedness, the representation and the range of the transform, are given and an inversion formula is proved. (© 2003 WILEY

This study evaluates the effect of rectal distension on bladder filling sensations determined during cystometric bladder filling. The authors show that in women with lower urinary tract symptoms, rectal distension increases bladder filling sensations, as shown by a decrease in the volume at which th
