โฆ Synopsis
A sensitive GLC method for the analysis of diphenylhydantoin in biological material is described. This method involves the conversion of diphenylhydantoin to its methyl derivative. The identity of the methyl derivative was determined by combined GLCmass spectroscopy. The high-resolution mass spectra of diphenylhydantoin methyl derivatives indicate that the methyl groups were introduced at the nitrogen atoms of the hydantoin ring to produce 3-methyl-and 1,3-dimethyldiphenyIhydantoin.
