The polarization transfer in the DEPT experiment is analysed as a function of transfer time A and variable pulse angle 8 for a spin system Zm I:. Zg S. This DEPT experiment applied to 29Si NMR may be tuned for optimum sensitivity and quantitative information and then used as an editing method for the 1D 29Si NMR spectra of alkoxysilane polymers in solution.
