β¦ Synopsis
Journal of Process Control is included in a new initiative from Elsevier: 'Colourful e-Products'. The new initiative was implemented on 1 st August 2003. It means that although figures will appear in black and white in the printed version of the journal if the figures are supplied in colour then they are shown IN COLOUR, online, in ScienceDirect.
This 'colourful e-products' solution provides a welcome step forward now that scientists increasingly access information on line. Scientists in many disciplines need to be able to publish their work in colour, but the cost of colour printing in small, specialised journals can be prohibitive and we realise that not all scientists have appropriate funds to cover the charges.
Authors wishing to make use of this facility should ensure that the artwork is in an acceptable format (TIFF, EPS or MS Office files) and at the correct resolution. In addition, for colour online and black & white in print, both colour and black & white artwork (file and/or hardcopy) is provided.
There is no extra charge for authors who participate in this new facility. Further information on electronic artwork can be found at http://authors.elsevier.com/artwork.
To view the articles online please access the journal from the ScienceDirect website: http://www.sciencedirect.com.
Multimedia Content
We are also pleased to announce that Journal of Process Control is now able to accept electronic supplementary material for online publication alongside full accepted papers within ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com). Supplementary files are intended to support and enhance the value of the scientific research. These files may take a number of forms, including background datasets, interactive movies or simulations, audio fragments and actual software.
