✦ Synopsis

Thin films of BiSrCaCuO have been deposited on unheated crystalline M$O (100) substrates using a TEA CO2 pulsed laser with a wavelength of 10.6 pan. The target used was Caand Cu-rich and contained Pb to enhance the formation of high-TΒ© phase. Superconducting fdms were produced after a short two-step annealing at 800Β°C-825Β°C and 850Β°C-865Β°C. The highest onset Tc on the treated films was 115 K and the zero resistance Tc was 99.5 IC The effects of deposition pressure and post annealing on the properties of the films were specifically investigated. The morphology of the superconducting thin trims was studied by scanning electron microscopy and a mixture of 2212 and 2223 phases was obe~erved in X-ray diffraction patterns.

We present experimental results obtained for RBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x (R = Y, Er) expitaxial thin films obtained through pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and grown on yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and SrTiO 3 (STO) substrates. The films have been deposited by using low deposition rates ( f = 4 Hz) and with
