## Abstract Synthesis of 8‐alkyl‐5,8‐dihydro‐5‐oxopyrido[2,3‐c]pyridazine‐6‐carboxylic acids 7a–d, starting from 3‐chloro‐4‐pyridazinecarbonitrile, is reported. The novel compounds do not exhibit significant (gyrase‐inhibiting) antibacterial activity.
