Background & Aims: Treatment with albumin in patients with cirrhosis and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) prevents renal failure and improves survival. Whether albumin has similar beneficial effects in patients with infections other than SBP is unknown. Methods: One hundred and ten patients w
