β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Cytogenetic studies of a rhabdomyosarcoma of mixed embryonal and alveolar histology in an II βmonthβold male revealed a single structural abnormality, t(1;13)(p36;q14). This abnormality may define a subset of patients with a variant of the t(2;13)(q35;q14) translocation frequently seen in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

A workshop held by the "Groupe Frangais de Cytogenetique Hematologique" has identified a t ( I 0 I I)(p I 3-1 4;q 14-2 I) in four acute lyrnphoblastic leukemias of T-cell lineage. The immunophenotypes were consistent with immature thymocytes. This translocation is therefore a new candidate for a rec
