## Abstract Selective monoiodination of a series of carba‐__closo__‐dodecaborates with a halogen atom or a hydroxy substituent bonded to the antipodal boron atom resulted in salts of the novel anions [7‐I‐12‐X‐__closo__‐CB~11~H~10~]^–^ [X = F (1), Cl (2), Br (3), OH (4)]. ## Abstract The __closo__‐stannaborane salt [Rh(PPh~3~)~2~‐(nbd)][1‐Me‐1‐__closo__‐SnB~11~H~11~] reacts with H~2~ in CH~2~ Cl~2~ solution to afford the contact ion‐pair Rh(PPh~3~)~2~(1‐Me‐__closo__‐SnB~11~H~11~), which has been characterized in solution and the solid state by X‐ray diffraction. Β© 2
