Properties of Dielectric BaTiO 3 Thin Films Prepared by Spray Pyrolysis. -Both smooth and highly porous films are deposited depending on deposition temp. and rate. As-deposited films contain an unidentified, low-symmetry Ba titanate modification. Annealing at 500-900 โข C converts the films to the cu

โฆ Synopsis
Ultrafine Titania by Flame Spray Pyrolysis of a Titanatrane Complex. -Ultrafine TiO 2 is produced by flame spray pyrolysis of (I) which is prepared from titanium hydrosol, NEt 3 , and ethylene glycol (3.3 wt.% ceramic yield). Misting of (I) dissolved in EtOH as an aerosol into an oxidizing flame generates particles, probably by a gas phase condensation process, that are discrete single crystals exhibiting some faceting. The powder is a mixture of anatase and rutile having a BET surface area of 45 m 2 /g. -(BICKMORE,
