Unusual O-O Bond Cleavage Competing with Normal Fragmentation of 1,2-Dioxetanes.

-The dioxetanes (IIa)-(IIc) decompose thermally to give the normal carbonyl products (III) whereas compounds (IId) and (V) decompose at low temperature to afford heterocycles (IV) and (V) (some yields not given). -
