โฆ Synopsis
Nitridoborates. Part 1. LiMg(BN2) (I) and Ba4(BN2)2O (II) -Compounds with the Anion (N-B-N)3-: Syntheses, Crystal Structures, and Vibrational Spectra.
-The title compounds are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of Li3N, Mg3N2, and BN for (I) and BaO, Ba3N2, and BN for (II) (sealed Nb-tubes, 1575 and 1350 K, respectively). (I) crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I4/mmm with Z = 2 and (II) is orthorhombic, Cmca, Z = 4. Both compounds contain isolated (N-B-N)3-anions packed in different ways. The IR and Raman spectra are discussed and the valence force constant of the B-N bond is calculated. -
