Synthesis, Structure, Luminescence and Magnetic Properties of the Coordination Polymer {[Eu(H2O)5][Mo(CN)8]}∞ Containing Bridging Cyanide Ligands. -The title compound is prepared in 76% yield by slow diffusion of Et2O into a MeCN solution of (NBu4)3[Mo(CN)8] and Eu(NO3)3. [Eu(H2O)5][Mo(CN)8] crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P4/nmm with Z = 2. Four of the eight cyanide ligands form bridges between Mo and Eu resulting in corrugated layers. The layers are interconnected by hydrogen bridges between water molecules of adjacent layers. The luminescence spectrum of the compound shows the typical lines due to Eu 3+ ions. -(CHELEBAEVA,
