Synthesis of Silirenes by Palladium-Catalyzed Transfer of Silylene from Siliranes to Alkynes.

-The title reaction produces thermally stable silirenes such as (III) which can be further react with monosubstituted acetylenes to yield the trisubstituted siloles (V). This reactivity suggests an unusual metal-mediated process and can be accounted for by a common reaction mechanism. -(
