β¦ Synopsis
Synthesis of a Fluorinated Analogue of 1-Aminocyclopropane Carboxylic Acid.
-In continuation of designing analogues of biologically important molecules a convenient synthesis of the 2-fluoro derivative (VII) of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid is reported. Thus, cyclopropanation of the acrylate (I) followed by Curtius rearrangement, oxidative arene cleavage and deprotection provides a diastereomeric mixture of (VIII), separable by ion-exchange chromatography. -(SLOAN, M.
