โœฆ Synopsis

Synthesis, Antiinflammatory and Analgesic Activity of 2-Oxo-1,2,5,6,7,8-hexahydroquinoline-4-carboxylic Acid Amides.

-Reaction of hexahydroquinoline-4-carboxylic acid (I) with amines in alkaline solution affords the title amides (III) as possible new biologically active compounds which easily undergo methylation at the exocyclic nitrogen atom. Compounds (IIIa) and (IIId) possess antiinflammatory activity and p-bromophenyl derivative (IIIe) shows weak analgesic activity. -(SMIRNOVA, T. A.; GAVRILOV,

Synthesis and Antiinflammatory Activity of 4,6-Diphenyl-2pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid Amides. -Several title pyrimidinecarboxylic acid amides (III) (17 examples) are prepared by amidation of the corresponding acid chlorides (I). The methoxy-and p-halogenoaryl derivatives (IIIc) -(IIIe) possess the bes
